    Music-favorite/least favorite bands/artists.

Why is it that there are artists that make us laugh, cry, dance, or scream? What is the intangible factor that causes us to be able to relate to a song? To feel ourselves inside of it. There are artists that I dislike, maybe because of a lack of vocal talent. Maybe because of the actually personality of the individual(s). Maybe it’s just not my style. But within that, there is almost always SOMETHING you can appreciate. Most people have a reason that they do what they do, and why it works. If you can hardly play a G chord on the guitar, or if that’s the ONLY chord you can play…. But you have a great song… Something that you feel, and communicate that feeling, then… You’re great. Recently I’ve realized, after having to hear a certain song on the radio, that this artist honestly doesn’t have any specialty, greatness, or honestly, talent. If you can’t sing, your song is no good(or you had nothing to do with it if it is), you can’t play an instrument, there’s no soul behind your music, and you don’t have a personality to convey(I don’t care If you’re a dick. Just be something!)
I honestly can’t figure out what makes people latch on to anything related to this. It made me wonder, in general… Again, what is THE thing, or things, that make us love a song, and attach ourselves to it. There must be something more complex than “it’s cool”.
Oh well, I’ll smack up da culprit mentioned, and the world will improve. ;)
